Privacy information
Your details.
Handled clearly.
What you share, what stays on your device and what changes when online booking launches.
Updated 29 September 2026
The booking planner and enquiry forms currently keep your entries on this page. Nothing is sent to District and no payment is processed.
Who this information covers
This notice explains the current District Car Hire website, its booking planner, enquiry form and first-booking offer. District is a Sydney car hire brand; its legal operating entity and dedicated privacy contact are awaiting confirmation.
For a privacy question, contact District on Instagram (opens in a new tab). Ask for an appropriate contact channel before sharing identity documents or sensitive information.
Information you enter
The forms let you enter your name, email, optional phone number, vehicle, experience, dates, and optional trip details or message. Those entries are used to show your on-page plan and review summary. Required fields are labelled; optional fields can be left blank.
At present, the forms do not send your entries to District, email them or save them in a booking database. The application holds completed contact-form entries in the current page’s memory and does not persist them across a fresh page load. Your browser may independently offer autofill or restore form values according to your browser settings.
Please do not enter card details, passwords, licence images, passport information or other sensitive information in these forms. None is needed to explore the booking flow.
Booking & payment information
Online payments are not connected. No payment processor receives form entries through this website, and no card details, payment tokens or transaction records are collected by the booking planner.
Before payment or enquiry sending is enabled, this notice and the collection notices beside the forms must identify the operator, the information needed, its purposes, recipients, relevant overseas processing and retention arrangements. Any identity-checking or payment service must be explained before it receives your information. See payment and booking information.
Offer preferences & browser storage
When you continue from the homepage enquiry strip or welcome offer to the contact page, a one-use handoff in this tab’s session storage carries your selected car, service, dates and, if entered in the offer, email and offer request. It uses district-contact-transfer-v1. The contact page removes it as soon as it is read and ignores handoffs older than five minutes. An unread handoff can remain until the contact page is opened or this tab’s session ends. These details are never placed in the URL or sent to District by this handoff.
The welcome offer uses local storage under district-welcome-offer-v1 to remember whether it is minimised, selected or dismissed. A dismissal is honoured for 30 days. Minimise and selection preferences have no automatic expiry and remain until the site changes them or you clear this website’s browser data.
The stored preference contains no email address, contact details or redeemable discount code. An offer email stays in page memory, except for the one-use contact-page handoff described above. Requesting the offer does not subscribe you to marketing. You can remove a selected offer from the enquiry or clear this website’s storage in your browser settings.
Hosting, cookies & external links
The application does not include analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts, photos and the interactive vehicle model are served with the site; the model does not use an embedded third-party viewer.
Serving a website involves technical request information such as IP address, browser details and requested URLs. The hosting infrastructure may process that information for delivery, security and operation. This is separate from the form entries kept on your page. Hosting log retention, processing locations and any platform-level cookies have not yet been confirmed for the final service.
Instagram and other external sites receive information when you visit or contact them, under their own privacy practices. Contacting District through Instagram shares the message and your profile information through that service; it is not the same as using the on-page planner.
Your choices & privacy questions
You can browse without completing a form. You can edit or clear your entries, omit optional information and manage local storage through your browser. No personal booking record is created by the current planner.
If you have separately shared personal information with District, you can ask about access, correction, deletion or make a privacy complaint through the contact above. What can be done depends on the information held and applicable obligations; deleting browser storage does not delete messages held by Instagram or District.
A dedicated request process, identity-verification method and retention schedule must be documented before a live booking system collects personal information. No fixed deletion deadline or retention period for future bookings is represented here.
When the service changes
This information will be updated when enquiries, payments or other services are connected. New uses, recipients and any separate marketing choice must be disclosed when information is collected. Merely viewing this notice is not consent to marketing.
The date above identifies this version. For current booking and payment status, see our terms and booking information.
